Job Description:

• Fabricate complete cable and harness assemblies, via wire selection, cutting, stripping, crimping and tinning of wire per design blueprint specifications, schematics, wire lists and IPC standards.
• Populate and solder electronic assemblies with through-hole and surface-mount components.
• Install chassis, mechanical, electrical and wiring assemblies including printed wiring boards using wire wrap and surface mount methods.
• Populating and soldering PCB’s.
• Provide assistance with building electronic and mechanical prototypes and test fixtures. 
• Responsible for complete wiring of custom systems to include electrical wiring responsibilities such as: pulling wire, terminating, bending conduit, wiring motors and electric.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned including clean-up and department organization.
• Will work from schematics and engineering documentation.

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of ESD practices
• Minimum 2 years hands-on electronic assembly experience
• Ability to identify electronic components
• Prior experience soldering through-hole and SMT components
• Proficiency in cutting, stripping, tinning, and crimping cable and harness
• Knowledge in circuit boards, soldering and electronics
• Ability to read and work from electrical prints.
• Experience working in a Research and Development environment
• Established communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Organizational skills

Non-Essential Skills:

• Electronic schooling or Mil spec soldering training or certifications
• Computer Skills.
• Ability to use a multi-meter to troubleshoot AC/DC circuits helpful.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel.
